Privacy Policy

TempoRoutine has no sign-up, and we run no server that holds your records. So this document is less about “what we collect and how” and more about what we do not collect, and where your records stay.

1. We do not collect personal data

TempoRoutine does not collect or store your personal data on any server. There are no accounts, so we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth, and we do not collect advertising identifiers or device identifiers. We have not included any analytics tools or third-party SDKs that observe how you use the app.

The cycle records and condition records you enter stay on your device and are never transmitted to the developer. The developer has no means of reading them.

2. What the app handles, and where it is stored

We collect nothing, but the app does handle the following on your device in order to work.

iCloud sync (optional)

If you turn on “Sync across devices” in Settings, your events, tasks and condition records are synced through your own iCloud account so they carry over to other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. The data is stored in your own iCloud, not on a developer server, and the developer cannot access it. Apple's handling of iCloud is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Cycle records are excluded from this sync. They remain on the device only.

Health app integration (optional)

Only if you grant permission, the app reads menstrual records from the Apple Health app to factor into your season calculation, and writes records you enter in the app back to the Health app. This exchange happens on your device and nothing is sent to the developer. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Calendar integration (optional)

Only if you grant permission, the app reads events from your device calendar and shows them alongside your own. Those events are not separately stored by the app and are never sent anywhere.

3. Outbound network activity

These are the only cases where the app connects to the internet.

• News feed: the app downloads a notices file published by the developer. This is a receive-only request and carries none of your records or identifiers. That said, as with any ordinary web request, the server hosting the file (GitHub) may record the time of the request and your IP address in its access logs.
• iCloud sync: only if you have turned on the optional feature described in section 2, the app communicates with Apple's iCloud.
• In-app purchases: when you make a purchase, the app communicates with Apple's payment system. Payment methods and payment details are handled by Apple, and the developer neither receives nor can view card numbers or other payment details.

The app carries no advertising and does not communicate with ad networks or analytics servers.

4. Sharing with third parties and processing by others

Because we collect no personal data, there is no personal data to share with third parties or to have processed by anyone on our behalf. We do not sell or share your records.

5. Retention and deletion

The developer holds no user data, so there is no retention period or deletion procedure on our side. The records on your device are yours to manage.

• You can delete individual records inside the app, or erase everything from Settings.
• Deleting the app removes the records stored on your device along with it.
• If you used iCloud sync, data left in iCloud can be removed from the iCloud management screen in iOS Settings.
• Records written to the Health app are managed and deleted separately in the Health app.

6. Your rights

Because your records live on your device, you can view, correct and delete them directly in the app. The export feature in Settings gives you your complete records as a file, and you decide where that file is kept. There is no separate body of information held by the developer for you to request access to or deletion of.

7. Automatic collection technologies

TempoRoutine does not install or operate cookies, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or any other technology that automatically identifies you or collects your usage behaviour. There is therefore nothing for you to opt out of.

8. Children under 14

TempoRoutine collects no personal data, so it does not collect personal data from children under 14 either. No collection arises that would require consent from a legal representative.

9. Security measures

• We run no server, so there is no route by which an external breach could expose your records.
• Records are stored inside the iOS app sandbox, where other apps cannot reach them.
• When the app becomes inactive the screen is covered, so your records do not remain visible in the app switcher.
• No third-party SDKs are used, so no external code has a path to your records.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the revised content and its effective date on this page. If a change is unfavourable to you, we will announce it through the app's news feed before it takes effect.
